PST ART: Art & Science Collide, presented by Getty, is a monumental regional takeover of more than 70 Southern Californian cultural, educational, and scientific institutions large and small. Each institution uniquely explores the intersection of art and science through special exhibitions and a slate of public programs from September 2024 through February 2025, with a different theme every five years.
Project: Email Newsletter
PST ART Newsletter
Brief: Develop a resource that curates PST ART: Art & Science Collide’s exhibitions and programs, from the project’s pre-launch phase through the end of the initiative in February 2025; build the newsletter’s subscriber list from the ground up.
Execution: Collaborate with the PST ART public programming team to build a content calendar that would communicate special events, exhibition openings, and public programming itineraries related to partners’ PST ART projects; activated our marketing experience at various public events around Los Angeles, including the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, KCRW Summer Nights, to promote PST ART and obtain newsletter sign-ups. We were able to grow the newsletter to 10,000 subscribers in five months, before the official September 2024 opening.

Project: PST ART Digital Guides
Bloomberg Connects, Apple Maps Guides, Google Arts & Culture
Brief: Develop a presence on various digital platforms to extend the reach of PST ART beyond social media channels; provide an easy-to-use experience for audiences interested in exploring PST ART on the go.
Execution: Work with representatives from Bloomberg Connects, Apple, and Google Arts & Culture to build profiles and guides for PST ART; tailor exhibition, institution, and tour content to the unique needs and formats of each platform.

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures

The Academy Museum is the largest museum in the United States devoted to moviemaking, constructed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Through its exhibitions and programs, it shares the history, art, technology, and impact of global film stories.

Social Media Sample 1
Brief: Promote Academy Museum’s upcoming rotations, which included the Identity: Costume Design gallery, part of its core exhibition Stories of Cinema.
Execution: Museum conservators shared a list of objects that they wanted from the upcoming gallery rotation. I produced the full Instagram reel, interviewing the professional costume mounter, as well as shooting and editing b-roll footage to give audiences a behind-the-scenes look into parts of the installation process.

Brief: Supplement the Academy Museum’s exhibitions and galleries with digital content that advances the understanding of cinematic crafts.
Execution: I collaborated with the Academy’s Oral History Program team to curate and edit interviews from their growing archive, crafting them into social-ready videos, as part of an ongoing series. These videos aligned with promotional timelines for the museum’s film, education, and public programs.

Brief: Amplify the Academy Museum’s direct connection to the work of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and its Academy Award History gallery which presents a visual timeline of the Oscars’ memorable moments.
Execution: I met Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin the morning after her film CODA (2021) won Best Picture at the 94th Oscars. She visited the Academy Museum to reflect on her historic 1987 Oscars win, which was presented in the museum’s Academy Award History gallery.
Social Media Sample 4
Brief: Present a recap of the Academy Museum’s annual fundraising gala, celebrating the museum’s first year of opening and raising vital funds to support museum exhibitions, education initiatives, and public programming.
Execution: I conducted interviews with film industry stars on the red carpet, while managing a video production team. Immediately following the completion of the red carpet ceremony, I worked with the production team to develop Instagram reels that were rolled out on the Academy Museum’s channel that same evening.

Museum Insider & Museum Member
Brief: Develop weekly newsletter distributed to the inboxes of film and museum fans across the globe, promoting upcoming exhibitions, as well as film, education, and public programs.
Execution: I coordinated the monthly content calendar according to the marketing and communications priorities of each department, from the Academy Museum’s retail store to the exclusive film screenings. I produced each weekly newsletter issue using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, drafting copy, building the content, and facilitating the development of segmented user journeys.
